This is Bhalesar.
Bhalesar is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies about 30 km from Chakwal city and 22 km from Dhudial, and roughly 47 km in a straight line from the Katas Raj temples and from Choa Saidan Shah.
The land around it is the dry, ravined country of the Potohar plateau, with the Salt Range to the south. Farming across this land depends on rain, and wheat and groundnut are among the main crops. Many families have members serving in the army or working abroad.
The full story of Bhalesar, its people, its streets and its memories is still to be told by the villagers themselves. This page is a place to begin that telling.
