Bhalothi (also spelt Bhalotki) is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. In a straight line it lies about 19 km from Lawa, 36 km from Talagang, and 52 km from both the Kallar Kahar lake and the Kallar Kahar interchange on the M2 motorway.
The village is on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry, ravined ground where farming depends on rain. Wheat and groundnut are grown across this plateau, and the Salt Range rises to the south. As in many families across the plateau, several households here have members serving in the army or working abroad.
Bhalothi's own history, its people and their stories are still to be told by the villagers themselves. This page is an invitation to do that, so that those at home and those far away can add their memories.
