ڈھوک علی شان ضلع چکوال، پنجاب، پاکستان کی ایک ڈھوک ہے، یعنی کھیتوں میں بسی ہوئی ایک چھوٹی سی بستی۔ یہ پوٹھوہار کے سطح مرتفع پر واقع ہے، جہاں خشک نالے اور بارانی کھیت ہیں، اور جنوب میں کوہستانِ نمک پھیلا ہوا ہے۔ سیدھے فاصلے کے لحاظ سے راولپنڈی تقریباً 18 کلومیٹر، اسلام آباد ایئرپورٹ 31 کلومیٹر، ڈھڈیال 60 کلومیٹر اور چکوال شہر 67 کلومیٹر دور ہے۔

Dhok Ali Shan is a dhok, a farmstead hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It sits on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range rising to the south. In a straight line, Rawalpindi is about 18 km away, Islamabad airport 31 km, Dhudial 60 km, and Chakwal city 67 km.
Across the Potohar, farming depends on the rain, with wheat and groundnut among the crops grown. Many families in this region have members serving in the army or working abroad, and the bonds between home and those far away run deep.
