This is Dhok Bahadur.
Dhok Bahadur is a dhok, a farmstead hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It is also written as Dhok Bahodur Khan. In a straight line, it lies about 40 km from Chakwal city, 37 km from Rawalpindi, 36 km from Dhudial and 31 km from Islamabad airport.
The village sits on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to the south. Across this plateau, families grow wheat and groundnut, and many have members serving in the army or working abroad.
The full story of Dhok Bahadur, its founding families and its daily life is still to be told by its own people. If you grew up here or have family here, please add what you remember.
