Dhok Budha, also spelt Dhok Buddha, is a dhok, a farmstead hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies about 18 km from Chakwal city and 19 km from Dhudial, and about 35 km from the Kallar Kahar lake and the Kallar Kahar interchange on the M2 motorway.
The village sits on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines where farming depends on rain, and where wheat and groundnut are the main crops of the region. The Salt Range rises to the south. As across much of this plateau, many families here have members serving in the army or working abroad.
The full story of Dhok Budha is still to be told. Its own people, who know its fields, its families and its past, are the ones to tell it.
