The village sits on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to the south. Across this plateau, families farm wheat and groundnut, and many households have members serving in the army or working abroad. The Katas Raj temples and Choa Saidan Shah are each about 34 km away.
