Dhok Dheru, also written Dhok Dadu, is a dhok, a farmstead hamlet, in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It sits on the Potohar plateau, where the land is dry and cut by ravines, and where farming depends on rain.
The fields grow wheat and groundnut. The Salt Range lies to the south, about 12 km away at Dandot. In straight lines, the Katas Raj temples are 15 km off, the Malot temple 16 km, and Choa Saidan Shah 17 km.
Like many families across the plateau, households here have members serving in the army or working abroad. The full story of the village, its families and its memories, is still to be told by the people who live here and by those who left.
