This is Dhok Doharian.
Dhok Doharian is a dhok, a farmstead hamlet, in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It sits on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to its south.
Farming here depends on the rain, and the plateau's families grow wheat and groundnut. In a straight line, Talagang is 10 km away, Kallar Kahar lake and the Kallar Kahar interchange on the M2 motorway are each 22 km away, and Chakwal city is 36 km.
Across the Potohar, many families have members serving in the army or working abroad. The full story of Dhok Doharian, in the words of its own people, is still to be told, and this page is an invitation to tell it.
