This is Dhok Fazal.
Dhok Fazal, also written Dhok Fazai, is a dhok, a small farmstead hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It sits on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to the south.
In a straight line, Talagang is about 33 km away, Lawa 46 km, and the M2 motorway at the Kallar Kahar interchange 64 km. The Kallar Kahar lake is about 65 km off. Across this part of the plateau, many families have members serving in the army or working abroad.
The full story of Dhok Fazal, its people, its farms and its days is still to be told, and it is for the families of this hamlet to tell it in their own words.
