Dhok Hashu is a dhok, a small farmstead hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. In a straight line it is about 65 km from Chakwal city, 58 km from Dhudial and 17 km from Rawalpindi, with Islamabad airport about 29 km away.
The land around it is part of the Potohar plateau: dry, ravined ground where wheat and groundnut are farmed on rain alone, with the Salt Range rising to the south. As in many families across this area, members of many households here serve in the army or work abroad.
The fuller story of Dhok Hashu, its families and its people is still to be told by the people of the village themselves.
