This is Dhok Kashmirian.
Dhok Kashmirian is a dhok, a farmstead hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies about 13 km in a straight line from Islamabad airport and 15 km from Rawalpindi, while Chakwal city is 62 km away.
The village is part of the Potohar plateau, a region of dry, ravined land where farming depends on rain, with wheat and groundnut as the main crops. The Salt Range rises to the south. Like many families across this area, many households have members serving in the army or working abroad.
The full story of Dhok Kashmirian, its families and its fields is still to be told, and it is for the people of this village to tell it.
