Dhok Kowale is a dhok, a small farmstead hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to the south.

The plateau around the village is known for wheat and groundnut farming, and much of its farming depends on the rain. Across this area many families have members serving in the army or working abroad. Kallar Kahar lake is about 12 km away, the Katas Raj temples 13 km, and the M2 motorway's Kallar Kahar interchange 13 km. Choa Saidan Shah is 17 km away.

The village's own story, its people and its memories, is still to be told by those who live here and those who have gone far away.
