This is Dhok Malkan.
Dhok Malkan is a dhok, a small farmstead hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. The wider Potohar plateau around it is dry and ravined, with rain-fed land where wheat and groundnut are farmed, and the Salt Range rises to the south.
The village lies about 15 km in a straight line from the Katas Raj temples and from Choa Saidan Shah, 16 km from Dhudial, and 17 km from the Malot temple. Many families across this plateau have members serving in the army or working abroad.
The full story of Dhok Malkan, its people and its days, is still to be told. This page is open for those who live here and for those who have left to tell it.
