Dhok Muhammad Yar, also written Dhok Mehrab, is a dhok, a farmstead hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to the south.
In a straight line, the village is 16 km from Dhudial, 26 km from Chakwal city, and 38 km from both the Katas Raj temples and Choa Saidan Shah.
Much of what this village has lived through, and what its families have built, is not yet written down here. That story belongs to the people of Dhok Muhammad Yar, and we hope those who grew up here, and those now far away, will tell it in their own words.
