This is Dhok Niaz Ali.
Dhok Niaz Ali is a dhok, a small farmstead hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It sits on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and open fields where farmers depend on the rain.
As across the plateau, the land is worked for wheat and groundnut on rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range rising to the south. In a straight line, Dhudial is about 31 km away, Chakwal city 41 km, Choa Saidan Shah 45 km, and the Katas Raj temples 47 km.
Many families across the Potohar have members serving in the army or working abroad. The village's own story, its people and its past, is still to be told by the people who know it best.
