The hamlet lies on the Potohar plateau, a region of dry, ravined land where farming depends on rain. Wheat and groundnut are grown across this land, with the Salt Range to the south. Many families in this part of the district have members serving in the army or working abroad, and that link to faraway places is part of life here.
