Dhok Tarer is a dhok, a farmstead hamlet, in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It sits on the Potohar plateau, where the land is dry and cut by ravines. Farming here depends on rain, and wheat and groundnut are the main crops of the area. The Salt Range rises to the south.
The village is about 15 km from Talagang, 34 km from the M2 motorway at the Kallar Kahar interchange, 35 km from Kallar Kahar lake, and 37 km from Lawa. Across this plateau, many families have members serving in the army or working abroad.
