This is Jaswal.
Jaswal is a village in Tehsil Chakwal, District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It falls within the Union Council Jaswal. By straight line, the Katas Raj temples are about 10 km away, Choa Saidan Shah about 11 km, the Malot temple about 13 km, and Chakwal city about 17 km.
The land around Jaswal is part of the Potohar plateau: dry, ravined ground where wheat and groundnut are grown on rain-fed fields. The Salt Range lies to the south. Many families here have members serving in the army or working abroad.
The full story of Jaswal, its founding and its daily life, is still to be told by the people who live here and those who carry its name far away.
