This is Jethal.
Jethal is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry, ravined ground where farming depends on rain. It is about 17 km in a straight line from Dhudial and 21 km from Chakwal city, with the Salt Range to its south.
Across the Potohar plateau, families farm wheat and groundnut, and many households have members serving in the army or working abroad. The lake at Kallar Kahar is about 41 km away, as is the Kallar Kahar interchange on the M2 motorway.
Jethal's own story, its families and its everyday life, is still to be told, and this page is open for its people to tell it.
