This is Khandowa.

Khandowa is a village in the Kallar Kahar Tehsil of Chakwal District in Punjab, Pakistan. Also spelt Khandoa or Khandoyah, its name is said to come from the Punjabi word "khand", meaning sweet. It lies on the Potohar plateau, where the land is dry and ravined, farming depends on rain, and wheat and groundnut are grown. The Salt Range lies to the south.

The natural setting is one of the village's great gifts. Khandowa has its own lake and valley, and the wider area is known for its historical lakes and resorts, including the lake of Swaik. Kallar Kahar lake is about 5 km away, the M2 motorway interchange at Kallar Kahar is 6 km, the Katas Raj temples are 21 km, and Chakwal city is 24 km.

Many families here have members serving in the Pakistan Army, and others work abroad. General Musarrat Nawaz Malik (Tamgha-e-Basalat) also hails from this village. The fuller story of Khandowa is still to be told by its own people.
