Losar is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range rising to its south. In a straight line, Rawalpindi is about 23 km away, Islamabad airport about 34 km, Dhudial 55 km, and Chakwal city 62 km.
Life here follows the land and the seasons. Farmers grow wheat and groundnut, relying on rain. Across the plateau, many families have members serving in the army or working abroad, and Losar is part of that story.
