This is Mohra Jaswal.
Mohra Jaswal is a small hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. In a straight line it lies about 43 km from Chakwal city and 43 km from Rawalpindi, 34 km from Dhudial, and 48 km from the Islamabad airport.
The hamlet sits in the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines where farming depends on rain. Wheat and groundnut are grown here, and the Salt Range rises to the south. As in many parts of the Potohar, many families in this area have members serving in the army or working abroad.
This page is a place for the people of Mohra Jaswal to tell their own story in their own words. Much of its history is still waiting to be written down by those who know it best.
