It lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields where wheat and groundnut are farmed, with the Salt Range to the south. Talagang is 5 km away, the Kallar Kahar lake and the M2 motorway interchange are each about 26 km away, and Chakwal city is 36 km away.
