Nawan Lok (also spelt Nawanlak or Nawānlak) is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to the south.
Farming here depends on rain, with wheat and groundnut among the crops grown on the plateau. In a straight line, the Malot temple and Dandot in the Salt Range are about 21 km away, Choa Saidan Shah about 22 km, and the Katas Raj temples about 25 km. Like many households in this part of the plateau, families here have members in the army or working abroad.
