This is Nawan Lok.
Nawan Lok, also spelt Dhok Jandran or Dhok Jandrān, is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. This page is a place for its people, at home and abroad, to share the village's own story.
The land around the village is part of the Potohar plateau: dry, ravined country where farmers grow wheat and groundnut on rain-fed fields. The Salt Range lies to the south. Many families here have members serving in the army or working abroad.
Several well-known places lie roughly 28 to 32 km away in a straight line: Malot temple (28 km), Choa Saidan Shah (29 km), Dandot in the Salt Range (29 km) and the Katas Raj temples (32 km). The village's history and memories are still to be told, and its people are invited to add them here.
