Pira is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies about 25 km from Talagang and 30 km from Lawa, and about 41 km in a straight line from the Kallar Kahar lake and the Kallar Kahar interchange on the M2 motorway.
The land around Pira is part of the Potohar plateau: dry, ravined ground where farming depends on rain, and where wheat and groundnut are grown. The Salt Range rises to the south. Across the plateau, many families have members serving in the army or working abroad.
