Saura is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to its south.
Lawa is about 20 km away, Talagang 45 km, the M2 motorway at the Kallar Kahar interchange 57 km, and the Kallar Kahar lake 58 km. Across this land, wheat and groundnut are grown, and many families in the area have members serving in the army or working abroad.
