This is Shadabad Town.
Shadabad Town is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies on the Potohar plateau, where the land is dry and cut by ravines, farming depends on rain, and wheat and groundnut are grown. The Salt Range rises to the south.
Shadabad is about 16 km in a straight line from Rawalpindi and 17 km from Islamabad airport. Chakwal city is 60 km away and Dhudial 55 km. Across the plateau, many families have members serving in the army or working abroad.
The full story of Shadabad, its people and its memories is still to be told by the people of the village themselves. This page is a place to begin that telling.
