Sohar, also spelt Saura or Sorra, is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It sits on the Potohar plateau, where the land is dry and cut by ravines and farming depends on rain. In a straight line, Rawalpindi is 35 km away, Islamabad airport 46 km, Dhudial 52 km and Chakwal city 61 km.
Across the plateau, wheat and groundnut are grown on rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range rising to the south. Many families in this region have members serving in the army or working abroad.
