Sud is a village in District Chakwal, in Punjab, Pakistan. It lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, where farmers grow wheat and groundnut, and the Salt Range rises to the south.
In a straight line, Sud is about 18 km from Rawalpindi, 28 km from the Islamabad airport, 55 km from Dhudial and 61 km from Chakwal city. Across the plateau, many families have members serving in the army or working abroad.
