Surag is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to its south. Farmers here grow wheat and groundnut, and the land depends on the rains.
In a straight line, Surag is about 48 km from Talagang, 64 km from Lawa, 76 km from Islamabad airport, and 77 km from the M2 motorway at the Kallar Kahar interchange. As in much of the plateau, many families here have members serving in the army or working abroad.
