Utran is a village in District Chakwal, in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It lies about 25 km in a straight line from Talagang and 48 km from Chakwal city, within easy reach of the district's towns.
The village stands on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields where wheat and groundnut are farmed. The Salt Range rises to the south. The M2 motorway at the Kallar Kahar interchange is about 49 km away, and Kallar Kahar lake about 50 km.
