It lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields where wheat and groundnut are grown, with the Salt Range to the south. In a straight line, the village is about 23 km from Rawalpindi, 29 km from Islamabad airport, 49 km from Dhudial and 55 km from Chakwal city.
