This is Bhaun.

Bhaun is a village in Tehsil Kallar Kahar of District Chakwal in Punjab, Pakistan, and the centre of its Union Council. It lies about 12 km from Chakwal city, 10 km from the Kallar Kahar lake, 10 km from the Kallar Kahar interchange on the M2 motorway, and 22 km from Dhudial.

The land around Bhaun is part of the Potohar plateau: dry, ravined ground with the Salt Range to the south. Life here is shaped by rain-fed farming of wheat and groundnut, and many families have members serving in the army or working abroad.

Bhaun was once the end of the line for the former Mandra–Bhaun Branch Line, a 74 km railway that began at Mandra Junction. The village's own story is still to be told by its people, and this page is an invitation to tell it.
