Bhaunkni is a village in District Chakwal, in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to its south. Many families here have members serving in the army or working abroad.

The village is about 1 km from Kallar Kahar lake and the Kallar Kahar interchange on the M2 motorway. It is 21 km from Chakwal city and 25 km from the Katas Raj temples.
