Budhial is a village and union council in Tehsil Talagang, District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies on the dry, ravined Potohar plateau, about 23 km in a straight line from Talagang, with the Salt Range to the south. The land is rain-fed, and farming here has long meant wheat and groundnut.

The village was founded by Budha Khan of the Rehan lineage of the Awan tribe, in the first quarter of the 16th century. His grandsons later moved from Kiran Wali Dheri to found the present village, and their descendants still carry the name Budhial across several lineages. Most residents belong to Awan clans, and Phirwal is the largest.

Budhial is known for its high literacy, its high schools for boys and girls, and its hotels. Military service is the most common path for young men, and many families have members working abroad. The village's full story, in its own words, is still for its people to tell.

یہ گاؤں بُدھا خان نے آباد کیا، جن کا تعلق اعوان قبیلے کی رِہان شاخ سے تھا۔ ان کے پوتے کِرن والی ڈھیری سے نکل کر موجودہ بستی میں آ بسے، اور آج بھی ان کی نسل بڈھیال کے نام سے مختلف شاخوں میں آباد ہے۔ اہلِ بڈھیال اپنی تاریخ خود سنائیں گے۔
