Chabutra is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It is also spelt Ghabutra or Ghabūtra. In a straight line, it is 28 km from Rawalpindi, 44 km from the Islamabad airport, 66 km from Dhudial and 74 km from Chakwal city.
The village lies on the Potohar plateau, a dry land cut by ravines, with the Salt Range to the south. Farming here depends on rain, and wheat and groundnut are grown across the plateau. Many families in the area have members serving in the army or working abroad.
