Chak Majahid Janubi, also spelt Chak Mujahid, is a chak in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. A chak is a settlement that grew up in the canal era. The village stands on the dry, ravined land of the Potohar plateau, where farming has long depended on rain and hard work.
The Salt Range rises to the south. In a straight line, the village is about 23 km from the Malot temple, 24 km from Choa Saidan Shah, 24 km from Dandot in the Salt Range, and 28 km from the Katas Raj temples. Across this plateau, many families have members serving in the army or working abroad.
The village's own history, its families and the stories of those who stayed and those who went abroad are still to be told by its people.
جنوب میں کوہستانِ نمک پھیلا ہوا ہے۔ سیدھی لکیر میں یہ گاؤں ملوٹ مندر سے تقریباً 23 کلومیٹر، چوآ سیدن شاہ سے 24 کلومیٹر، کوہستانِ نمک کے ڈنڈوت سے 24 کلومیٹر اور کٹاس راج کے مندروں سے 28 کلومیٹر کے فاصلے پر ہے۔ اس علاقے کے بہت سے گھرانوں کے افراد فوج میں ہیں یا بیرونِ ملک کام کرتے ہیں۔ گاؤں کی اپنی کہانی ابھی اس کے لوگوں کو سنانی ہے۔
