Chapphar (also spelt Chapar) is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines, with the Salt Range to the south.
Talagang is about 20 km away and Lawa about 34 km, all in straight-line distance. The M2 motorway's Kallar Kahar interchange is about 49 km away, and Kallar Kahar lake about 50 km. Across the plateau the land is rain-fed, wheat and groundnut are grown, and many families have members in the army or working abroad.
