This is Dhok Chakoi.
Dhok Chakoi is a dhok, a farmstead hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. In a straight line, it lies about 29 km from Islamabad airport, 46 km from Rawalpindi, and 51 km from both Chakwal city and Dhudial.
The land around it is part of the Potohar plateau: dry, ravined ground where farming depends on rain, with wheat and groundnut among the crops grown, and the Salt Range rising to the south. Many families in the region have members serving in the army or working abroad.
This page is a starting point. The full story of Dhok Chakoi, its families and its past is still to be told by the people who live it and remember it.
