Dhok Hastal is a dhok, a farmstead hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It sits on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, where wheat and groundnut are the main crops.
To the south rises the Salt Range. Talagang lies about 16 km away and Lawa about 34 km. The Kallar Kahar lake and the Kallar Kahar interchange on the M2 motorway are each about 43 km away in a straight line. Across this plateau, many families have members serving in the army or working abroad.
