This is Dhok Kanjar.
Dhok Kanjar is a dhok, a farmstead hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It sits on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range rising to the south. Dhudial is about 30 km away in a straight line, Chakwal city about 39 km, Choa Saidan Shah about 51 km, and the Katas Raj temples about 52 km.
Across this plateau, families have long farmed wheat and groundnut when the rains allow, and many households have members serving in the army or working abroad. The village's own story, its families, and its memories are still to be told by the people who know them best. This page is an invitation to begin telling it.
