Dhok Kot, also spelt Dhok Kut, is a dhok, a small farmstead hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. In a straight line it lies about 29 km from Chakwal city, 33 km from Dhudial, 34 km from Talagang and 41 km from the Kallar Kahar lake.
The land around it is part of the Potohar plateau: dry, ravined ground where farming depends on rain. Families here grow wheat and groundnut, and the Salt Range rises to the south. As in many homes across this region, several families have members serving in the army or working abroad.
The full history of Dhok Kot and its people has not yet been written down. This page is an invitation to the villagers and their families around the world to tell that story in their own words.
