This is Dhok Lori.
Dhok Lori is a dhok, a small farmstead hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It sits on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to the south.
The village lies about 8 km in a straight line from the M2 motorway at the Kallar Kahar interchange, 9 km from Kallar Kahar lake, 19 km from Chakwal city and 25 km from Talagang. Across this plateau, wheat and groundnut farming are part of life, and many families have members serving in the army or working abroad.
Much of the village's own story, its families, its fields and its people, is still to be told. We invite those who live here and those far away to add it in their own words.
