Dhok Mattian (also spelt Dhok Maitan) is a dhok, a farmstead hamlet, in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It sits on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to the south.
The land here depends on the rain. Across the plateau, families grow wheat and groundnut, and many families have members serving in the army or working abroad, keeping the village connected to the wider world.
