Galiwali is a village in District Chakwal, in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to the south.
The village is about 25 km from Lawa and 29 km from Talagang. In a straight line it is about 46 km from the Kallar Kahar lake and from the M2 motorway interchange at Kallar Kahar. Across the Potohar plateau, farming has long meant wheat and groundnut, and many families have members serving in the army or working abroad.
