Marjan, also spelt Maliaran or Marian, is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies about 18 km in a straight line from Talagang and 41 km from Chakwal city. It is also 41 km from the M2 motorway at the Kallar Kahar interchange, and the Kallar Kahar lake is about 42 km away.
The village sits on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to the south. Across this region, wheat and groundnut are farmed on land that depends on the rains, and many families have members serving in the army or working abroad.
