This is Mudhwal.
Mudhwal is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to the south. Across this region, families have long farmed wheat and groundnut, relying on the rains.
Mudhwal is about 26 km in a straight line from Talagang and about 31 km from Lawa. The Kallar Kahar lake and the Kallar Kahar interchange on the M2 motorway are each about 56 km away.
Many families in Mudhwal have members serving in the army or working abroad, so the village stays connected to people far from home. The full story of Mudhwal, its people and its past is still to be told by those who live it, and this page is an invitation to tell it.
