This is Dullewali.
Dullewali (also spelt Dullewala or Dullewāla) is a village in District Chakwal, in Punjab, Pakistan. It lies about 29 km from Talagang and 31 km from Lawa, and about 59 km in a straight line from the Kallar Kahar lake and the Kallar Kahar interchange on the M2 motorway.
The village sits in the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines, rain-fed fields of wheat and groundnut, with the Salt Range to the south. Across this region, many families have sons and relatives serving in the army or working abroad, and Dullewali is part of that living connection between home and the wider world.
The full story of Dullewali, its families and its days is still to be told, and it is for its own people to tell it.
