Mungwal, also spelt Mangwal or Mangwāl, is a village in District Chakwal in Punjab, Pakistan. It lies in the Potohar country, where the land is dry and cut by ravines, and farming depends on rain. Wheat and groundnut are grown in the area, and the Salt Range rises to the south.
Mungwal is about 30 km from the Kallar Kahar lake and from the M2 motorway at the Kallar Kahar interchange. Dandot in the Salt Range is about 40 km away, and the Katas Raj temples about 41 km. These distances place the village within easy reach of well-known places in the region.
